Bleeding can cause significant morbidity and mortality in clinical settings. Several haemostatic agents have been investigated for their role in haemostasis6,9,11,13. Ankaferd Blood Stopper® (ABS; Ankaferd Health Products Ltd., Istanbul, Turkey) is a traditional folk medicinal plant extract product that has been approved in the management of external hemorrhage and dental surgery bleedings in Turkey.
